This Saturday we will be running the annual Lapathon at Hensley Track.
The gun will start at 9am and the gun will go off at 10am. Each age group will start at a different point around the track. And the aim of the race is 1) To have fun & 2) to run as many laps as you can.
Its a great event and we look forward to everyone attending
And remember it will be hot so put on the sunscreen, wear a hat and bring along a water bottle as well
We hope all the kids enjoyed the school holidays, and for the parents, it is no doubt nice to have them back at school 🙂
We wanted to highlight a few key events over the coming weeks for the club.
26th October: 1HR LAPATHON. A fun event where the kids of all ages run around the track for one hour, its pretty amazing what the kids will do for. There might even be a guest appearance from a 2.2m dinosaur … although we aren’t promising the T-Rex will be running for the whole hour.
9th/10th November: RBLAC CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS. The track and field events will be run over Saturday and Sunday and we will be giving out medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each event for each age group. Its lots of fun and the kids get to chose which events they want to compete in.
16th/17th November: STATE RELAYS @ Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre (SOPAC). Junior athletes (U8 to U11) will compete on the Saturday and Senior athletes (U12 to U17) will compete on the Sunday. More information can be found on the website or by asking your age manager
Cheers and look forward to seeing all the athletes this coming Saturday 19th Oct.
Dear RBLAC Members,
Due to the heavy rain there is no Little As running this morning down at Hensley.
Enjoy the long weekend and see everyone next Saturday
All the best from the RBLAC Committee
Thanks again for all the boys and girls that came along for week 2 of the 19/20 season, great to see so many smiling faces and kids giving it a go. This Saturday (5th Oct) we will be running Series 1 of events, so no hurdles this week.
There are two ways of accessing the results either click on the Results tab and you can select which age group and event and it will show you all the results for the club. Or you can log in using the Family login red box on the Home page, and get individual results for your child/children.
If you are having any issues with accessing the results please let Mark Coleman (the age manager for the U9s) know. He is always wearing a yellow wallabies cap and the Randwick Botany age manager jersey. He’s happy to help.
Cheers and see everyone for week 3
