2019/2020 Season Registrations are Open. Registrations for the 2019/20 Little Athletics Season have opened. The first morning of Competition for the season is on SATURDAY the 21st September @ 8:30am but you must complete your registration before the opening Saturday.

Once registered you can pick up your athlete pack on the morning of the 7th or 14th September down at Hensley Athletic Track

Registration is a 4 step process:

Step 1 – Visit the Services NSW web site to apply for your $100 Active Kids Voucher (applicable for school age children only) for each child you are registering for Little Athletics. Randwick Botany Little Athletics Centre is a registered activity provider and you will be able to claim a $100 discount off your registration fee for each child registered. To claim your $100 discount you will need to enter your child’s voucher number during the online registration process through the Little Athletics NSW website.

Step 2 – All registrations are done online through Little Athletics NSW. Click here to register online now. All registration payments should be made online at the time of registration by clicking the “Submit Application & Pay Online” button when it is offered.

Step 3 – Registration Packs (including the athletes number and other useful information) can be picked up at the pre-season registration Saturdays mornings (7th and 14th September) at Hensley Athletics Track.

Step 4 – This step only applies to athletes who are new to the club for the 2019/2020 season. You MUST bring a proof of age document that can be sighted by the club registrar so that the registered athlete’s age group can be confirmed. Birth certificate or passport are the preferred proof of age documents.

Notes:

  • Little Athletes registering for the first time for the 2019/20 season will be asked to select a club. You need to select “Randwick Botany Little Athletics”
  • Remember, you are registering your little athletes, not yourself, so please ensure you enter the correct details i.e. make sure you use the Little Athlete’s name and not yours. When supplying an email address, be mindful that this is the email address the RBLAC committee will use to communicate with you about RBLAC events and information during the season.

You can Trial for a maximum of 2 consecutive Saturdays before becoming a full member. In order to do this please register online and pay the $20 under the ‘Trialing Registration’. After trialing if you would like to compete the following week you will need to complete your registration as a FULL member purchase an RBLAC uniform.

Children aged U12 to U17 are now known as Dual Registered. They will be asked to select a senior club, when registering online. Our committee invites you to select our senior club of choice “SOUTH SYDNEY ATHLETICS”. There is no Association charge when becoming dual registered. Additional information will be available when you join our senior club of choice South Sydney Athletics.

Parent obligations
* Little Athletics is a volunteer organisation and we require parents/carers to assist with the running of Saturday competitions as much as is possible.
* There are plenty of opportunities to assist and the children enjoy seeing their families get involved as well. Whether it be helping with data entry, assisting with marshaling on the straight or circular tracks or raking jump pits, many hands make the day enjoyable for all.
* Parents can be of most help by studying the rules of events by visiting the E-Learning courses of the Australian Institute of Sport here.
* RBLAC provide coaching on Mon-Thurs 5-7pm, as well as Age Managers who run the competition days on the Saturday mornings from 8:30am. In order to help out the Age Managers on the Saturdays, we need help from the parents in terms of raking pits and recording results etc.
* RBLAC requires every child to be signed in with their Age Manager at start of competition and signed out when taken home.
* IMPORTANT: please be aware that no child should be left on Saturday mornings to compete on their own. If a child is found to be left without a parent / carer present at the venue, they will be placed with a committee member until either a parent can be located.
